Forschungs- und Interessensschwerpunkte:
15th- and 16th-century music theory and culture, music and theology, renaissance source studies and text criticism, analysing early music

Kurzbio:

David J. Burn studied musicology at the University of Oxford, completing a doctoral thesis there in 2002 under the supervision of Reinhard Strohm on the mass propers of Heinrich Isaac. From 2002-2003 he was a Guest Researcher at Kyoto City University of Arts. From 2003-2007 he was a Junior Research Fellow at St. John’s College Oxford. In 2007 he was appointed as lecturer at the University of Leuven.  
He specializes in late-15th and 16th-century sacred music, especially in German-speaking lands. Together with Katelijne Schiltz, he co-edits the Journal of the Alamire Foundation.
